There are three ways to use TASAsearch: Keyword, Major Categories Search, and Advanced Search. Try one or all three. Then send us an Expert Request. Or, for immediate assistance, call us at 800-523-2319.

In the rare instance that our network does not already have an expert in the location you have selected, let us know and we will promptly conduct a search for you – with absolutely no obligation on your part.

1. KEYWORD SEARCH

When you know which expertise you are looking for, use this easy option. All letters you enter will retrieve all expertise in our database that contains exactly those letters, in exactly that order. You may have better results if you enter an Expertise Category (Surgery) and not the job title (Surgeon).

Type in the characters, select a location, click "Go," then view the resulting list of categories containing the letters you entered. You can continue to refine your selection and view a map showing the number of experts The TASA Group has in that location and nearby.

Location: You may select either “All Locations,” a state, a province, a country, or a continent. “All Locations” displays the total number of experts in our database who have the expertise you selected.

Hint: The more characters you enter, the more targeted your search results will be. Conversely, the fewer characters you type in, the more and, possibly, less relevant, the results.

Examples:
Enter a phrase. “Cargo handling” will yield a few expertises, including air cargo handling, bulk cargo handling, and truck cargo handling.

Enter a whole word. “Cargo” will yield all of the above expertise categories plus some others, including cargo security and cargo broker.

Enter a partial word.
Typing a partial word (car) will yield all of the above plus a great many others, including adult day care, car wash, cardiac intensive care, credit cards, etc.

Note: Some categories are listed twice. This is because each originates in a separate major category. For example, Computer Hardware appears twice because one is related to the major category of Computer & Mathematical Science, and the other is found within Electronics & Electricity. If you don't find what you seek in one category, look at the other.

2. MAJOR CATEGORY SEARCH: Alphabetical

All 10,000 + expertise categories in The TASA Group’s database are listed here alphabetically within 28 broad categories.

a. Click the Directory Tab and select the relevant Major Topic.

b. Select the appropriate letter of the alphabet to view all sub-categories that begin with that letter.

c. When you see the expertise you want, select a location.

d. You will see a map and the number of experts we have available in your location and region.

e. You may continue to narrow your search by selecting sub-categories until you have the information you need.

3. ADVANCED SEARCH: Relational

The Category Search is especially useful when you have a general type of expertise in mind, but also want to consider related sub-categories.

Select one of the 29 Major Categories plus a location, and then narrow your search by viewing successive layers of related sub-categories.

For example, if you select the major category of Chemistry, you can access 20 sub-categories, including Plastics. Selecting Plastics then yields 9 sub-categories, including Plastic Pipes. At the end of your search you will see map and expertise results in your location.
